Mica Generation Station Estimate Services
Mica Generating Station was constructed in 1977 in western British Columbia, 135 km north of Revelstoke. The station is consists of a 244m tall dam and an underground powerhouse capable of generating 1,805 MW via four existing turbines. BC Hydro identified the facility as being capable of expanding by an additional two units.
Scope of Work:
- Perform a Level 2 estimate using near complete designs
- Analysis of complicated electrical systems required for GIS and GIL
- Develop a productivity simulation for determination of scheduling and cost
- Comparison of estimated costs and budgets to received contractor bids
